What are Zeta Components?

Zeta Components are a high quality, general purpose library of loosly coupled components for development of applications based on PHP 5. Beside typical modules for web application development, like a Template engine, Database tools and an MVC component, Zeta Components contain command line tools, a chart rendering library, a WebDAV server, a universal document conversion component and many more tools to ease developers live.

Zeta Components originally were developed by eZ Systems under the name "eZ Components" and was generously sponsored to the Apache Software Foundation for further development. Since 07/2010 the components are known as "Zeta Components". Since May 2012 Zeta Components retired from Apache Incubator and is now developed on Github. eZ Systems still builds their core products on top of Zeta Components and contributes to the project.

  It's been a while since Zeta Components was officially accepted for incubation in the Apache Software Foundation in May 2010. Since then, a lot of progress has been made, especially in the area of technical infrastructure and code drop.
